we design a coffee shop that reflected the customers brand essence, through modern furniture and a touch of a rustic unrefined material, that lets each material shine in its own way. we rehabilitated an existing home into a modern cafe by keeping some essence of the original home and giving them a fresh new look. we kept the bones of the home and removed walls to create an open plan. The cafe consist of a open plan main cafe space, a private working space, a tasting room, an open plan kitchen, customer bathrooms and staff changing rooms.

we crafted a space that perfectly embodied our client’s joyfulness and warmth, reflecting their vibrant and natural brand. The design features an inviting layout with bright, cheerful colors and wooden accents that create a cozy atmosphere. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, enhancing the warmth and welcoming vibe. We incorporated open shelving showcasing freshly baked goods, allowing customers to feel the heart of the bakery. Comfortable seating areas encourage social interaction, while playful design elements like line art frames and unique light fixtures infuse the space with personality.

The project required us to design 3 prototypes for 2 apartments and 1 loft, which would have been used throughout the project, which is composed of 8 apartments. We wanted a modern Afrocentric approach to the design. The living spaces are characterized by a neutral color palette with modern furniture and accent Afrocentric decor unique to every apartment and loft.
